Library Thesis Website

Fullstack Developer
Project Overview
This project is for the library thesis website of Jose Rizal University. Together with my team, we developed this website for 3 months and I was the lead developer and leader of my team. This website is for the graduating JRU students to post and publish their theses. As well as serve as the library they can access as reference for their studies.
My Contributions
I'm the lead developer for this project and assigned my team on their tasks. Mainly, I was responsible for the project planning, structuring, and developing the website. The programming languages that I used for the back-end are PHP, Python, and MySQL for database. Then, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS for the front-end.
Completing this project within a limited timeframe was challenging, as it was my first time developing a website for my university and using PHP and MySQL. Previously, I was more familiar with Python and Oracle for my projects.

Leading my team was both a rewarding and educational experience. As the project leader, I was responsible for overseeing the entire development process and monitoring my team's progress. One of the challenges I faced was assigning tasks to team members who were sometimes unfamiliar with the required steps. In such cases, I had to guide and teach them to ensure they could complete their work effectively.

Throughout the project, I performed numerous reviews and revisions to ensure the website met the university's standards, as it would serve as the official library thesis platform. Ultimately, my team and I successfully developed the website and turned it over to our professors and the IT department. This journey was a significant learning experience that strengthened both my leadership and technical skills.
